Training and maintenance

The Centre for Cellular Imaging (CCI) is a core facility that integrate both Light and Electron microscopy. The CCI offers open-access state-of-the-art imaging equipment for all users. We maintain all instrumentation in close collaboration with the microscope suppliers to ascertain the highest quality of your results. We give our users theoretical and hands-on training to enable them to independently use our equipment, which can then be rented by the hour.

If you need consultation on setting up your microscopy or image analysis experiment, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will arrange a meeting, where we discuss your scientific question and analysis needs. This will allow you to choose the right instrumentation for your task.

Sample analysis as a service

The Electron microscopy provides advanced expertise in cellular electron microscopy: from sample preparation to image analysis and for a large variety of biological samples ranging from macromolecules to tissues. The services we provides consist of performing the sample preparation, assisting the users in their use of facility resources and providing advanced training.

On the Light microscopy however, you are responsible for the practical part of the sample preparation and that the question, which you would like to have answered, is accurately described to us. If you have a limited set of samples that you would like to have analyzed, and you do not have the time or interest to learn how to use an equipment or technique, we offer to perform the imaging and/or analysis for you.
Full service includes:
- We provide guidance with sample preparation.
- We will then take care of the technical side of the imaging measurements and analysis.
- This service is subject to availability of our resources, and the pricing needs to be negotiated.

Image analysis and work stations

We offer image and data analysis support, as well as commercial and customised open source image and data analysis software. These are available for users at specific work stations in the facility.
