NEUBIAS Training Schools 4&5, Gothenburg 2017

The CCI will host and be part of organizing the NEUBIAS training school for bioimage analysis. The 11-14th of September two parallell courses will run for Staff scientist and Early career researchers. Registration and more information can be found on the NEUBIAS homepage.

1st NMI Core Facility staff training in the IMARIS program

    

2-day training course for facility staff within the NMI consortium. The course will take place in Gothenburg the 14-15th of March, 2017, and it will cover all the details of the IMARIS software from data visualization, measurement and tracking, object detection to Batch-processing.

  Topics of the course:

Cellular Imaging

Arranged by Centre for Cellular Imaging at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg. 3 higher education credits.

Dates for lectures: 24 - 28 April 2017

The course will deal with different aspects of modern cellular and molecular microscopy. Teaching will be performed through lectures and group discussions.


   The following topics will be covered:

  • Basic concepts in fluorescence microscopy
  • How to prepare cells/tissues for light microscopy
  • Advanced Techniques in microscopy
  • Application of modern microscopy methods for current research topics
  • Use of single and multi-photon imaging in Life Science
  • Laser capture microdissection for non-contact sample handling
  • High content screening fluorescence microscopy for system biology
  • SIM/PALM Super-resolution microscopy
  • Basic image processing and analysis
